Removable Media Hard Disk Drives
ZCM Services is proud to be a certified technical support specialist centre for Syquest Technology Inc.Currently Syquest offer a range of drives from 230MB to 4.7GB capacity. The internal mounting versions are standard 3.5" half height form fit, offered with either I.D.E. (ATA) Bus or S.C.S.I. interface. The external versions are supplied in a sleek case complete with it's own switchmode power supply. The external connect options available are either S.C.S.I. or Parallel port interface. (Great for Apple Macs and Laptops !)
With the push of a button, or even from under software control, the current platter can be removed and replaced by another, all in a matter of seconds. You have virtually limitless disk space, at a fraction of the cost of an equivalent amount of conventional hard disk space, with all the advantages of you have come to associate with hard disk storage. (ie: speed and completely random access) The flexible connection standards and simple installation software make full portability of the drive and data completely painless, even between computer platforms and operating systems !
Syquest provide a range of drive to suit all users, from the small home office or individual, to the largest corporation. The current range is:

The EZ-Flyer 230 is the lost cost entry option into the world of removable media hard disk technology. Available in Internal E.I.D.E. and External Parallel Port and S.C.S.I. the EZ-Flyer 230 provides high speed access to files and data for PC and Mac platforms.
Supported operating systems include Windows '95/98, Windows V3.11, MS DOS V5.0 or later, Windows NT V3.51 and above and MacOS V6.0.5 or later. The S.C.S.I. version will also operate under Novell V3.12 or later and OS2 V2.1 or later.
The EZ-Flyer 230 will also read, write and format the previous generation EZ-Drive 135 cartridges.
SparQ is the new 1.0GB 'personal solution' drive from Syquest. It is ideal for P.C. users requiring a high capacity secure storage system for valuable files at low cost.
As well as complete system backups, other uses include digital image storage (your own personal electronic photo album) and high speed games (copy a CD ROM game to a SparQ cartridge, and watch it run at twice the speed!)
Available connection options are Internal E.I.D.E. and External Parallel port. Support is available for Windows V3.11/'95/'98 and NT V4.0.
Mac formatted SparQ cartridges and USB connection standard SparQ for PC and iMac.
The largest capacity in 3.5" cartridge size is the Syjet. This dual platter disk system provides maximum performance, flexibility and reliability.
It is the ideal choice for multimedia and desktop publishing houses where maximum capacity per cartridge is of prime concern. At 1.5GB per cartridge, other great uses for the Syjet system include 'hotdesk' computer systems. In this situation each user runs their complete operating system, configured to their exact requirements and tastes direct from their own personal Syjet cartridge. Changing operators is as simple is removing the current person's Syjet cartridge, installing the new user's cartridge and re - booting! In major corporations this option can save millions of dollars in capital outlay, whilst allowing maximum security, flexibility and productivity.
